From just a narrow storefront, in Douglas’s historic Downtown, with an emphasis on inspiring and caring for the local community, Respite offers a full craft coffee and drink menu, seasonal food menu, and is meant to evoke a feeling of rest and relief - a place to recharge in Solitude, to fulfill a Communal niche, or sustain the transient Road Trippin' boater and second home owner. Respite proudly serves Madcap Coffee, an independent coffee company based in Grand Rapids, and Michigan's number one roaster! Madcap uses small production methods and direct trade practices to attain a perfect roast.
